The incident happened at around 6.25pm on Grande Route de la Côte near the Marks and Spencer store between the junctions of School Road and Rue de Maupertuis.
Two vehicles – a blue Peugeot which was heading east and a silver Mercedes driving towards town – were involved. Both cars sustained significant damage but no one was injured.
