Two rescued after being cut off by tide near Seymour Tower

The Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident in one of their inshore lifeboats at around 4pm on Sunday (2 August).

Two others, who also got cut off, managed to make their way back to shore unaided.

Ahead of 35ft [10.7 metre] spring tides due later this week, firefighters are now urging anyone planning on visiting the coastline to ensure they have checked tide times beforehand.
