A MAN who died after the tractor he was driving tumbled down a côtil in St Martin and onto a road has been named as John Alan Le Seelleur.

The 33-year-old was taken to hospital following the incident, which happened on Mont des Ormes – near St Catherine’s Lifeboat Station – at around 1.15pm on Thursday.

Firefighters stabilised the John Deere vehicle which came to rest on its roof. A police collision investigation unit also examined the scene, with the road remaining closed for several hours.

In a short statement, the States police said: 'We regret to inform you that the 33-year-old man hurt in a tractor incident yesterday died of his injuries last night. His next of kin have been informed.'
