The one-vehicle crash happened at around 8.45pm. The road was closed until 1.20am while emergency services attended.
The man, who is 26 years-old and was driving a Renault Megane, was taken to hospital shortly afterwards where he was still being treated on Saturday morning.
Police confirmed that he had ‘life changing’ but not life-threatening injuries.
