The police say the victim and her mother have given their blessing to the images of the reconstruction being shared.

The girl left a property in Gorey at 11.30pm and walked towards Rue à Don. She then walked along the left side of the main road towards Gorey Pier before doubling back and going to Gorey Common bus stop where she had agreed to meet her mother.

Police say she had originally headed in the wrong direction is she was disorientated.

The attack is believed to have happened at some point between midnight and 12.13am on Thursday/Friday night. CCTV from a passing Liberty Bus has captured images of a person the police believe is the victim standing at the bus stop at 11.53am and 12.06am.

The attacker is described as approximately 40 to 50 years old, about 5ft 9in tall, big or strong with dark brown hair and a grey beard. He was wearing a large, padded coat that was too long in the arms and a baseball cap under a hood. He spoke with a ‘foreign accent’.
