In a post on Facebook, the force said the incident happened in Val Plaisant at around 2pm.
It added: ‘One boy, approximately 10 years old, riding a bicycle collided with a car and fell off his bike but didn’t stay long enough for anyone to check how he was.
‘Was this you, a friend or perhaps your child? Please call 612612 quoting reference 05/10/19/493 and let us know you’re okay!’
