Dinosaurs… and goats, sheep, pigs and ducks – new plans for Tamba Park?

The popular family attraction closed abruptly in the spring and questions have been raised as to whether it will reopen.

In a Facebook post, the site’s owner, Jonathan Ruff, said he was now considering reopening the outside area only, and it could feature animals a little smaller than its popular animatronic dinosaurs.

In the post, Mr Ruff wrote: ‘I am now looking to re-open the outside area of Tamba Park.

‘Unfortunately the inside area will not re-open so that leaves us with the outside area only which is made up of a lake, play area, dino trail, café, various sitting areas, trampolines, boats, BBQ area, sandpit, etc.

‘I could re-open the park as it is but I would like to make some changes.

‘A suggestion that has been made to me on several occasions is a petting zoo, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, sheep etc, and of course some dinosaurs!

‘I would like some feedback on what you would like to see in the park, bearing in mind the space we have to play with and the restrictions we have on noise levels.

‘I would even consider renting out the park to someone else to run if they had a good enough idea.

‘I welcome your ideas and thoughts.’
