Raise your glasses... it's Jersey Beer and Cider Festival time
THIRSTY drinkers are getting ready to line up for the Jersey Beer and Cider Festival, which on Thursday at the People’s Park and continues until Saturday evening.
The event features more than 50 ales from across the UK, with additional stocks ordered in the wake of last year’s sell-out event. The drinks menu also features local beers from the Liberation Brewery, including Hot Off The Press, a beer specially brewed for the festival. Those looking for an alternative to beer can enjoy a cider from the Thatchers’ range, or a gin and tonic.
Live music will be a feature of the event, with a variety of acts on all three evenings, and there will be a range of street food available to ensure no one goes hungry.
The festival is open from 4pm to 10.30pm today and from 1pm to 10.30pm tomorrow and Saturday. Admission is £10, which includes a pint of Hot Off The Press or Thatchers Gold, or a gin and tonic.
