Serial sex offender jailed for 16 years
A SERIAL sex offender who committed ‘abhorrent’ offences against four children has been jailed for 16 years.
Kenneth Gordon (68), who originally faced a total of 36 charges, pleaded guilty to a total of 17 sexual offences against four children.
He also admitted one count of common assault on a male child.
He was sentenced on seven counts of indecent assault, three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, two counts of procuring an act of gross indecency, one count of committing an act of gross indecency, as well as four counts of other serious sexual offences against a child.
The sentence handed down by the Royal Court was 18 months longer than that asked for by the prosecution.
Detective Sergeant David Hill said: 'This investigation has been long and complex and throughout the victims have demonstrated great strength and resilience.
'They have showed immense courage in reporting this abuse to the police and I hope that after today’s sentencing they can now start to rebuild their lives.'
