Teenager arrested after early-morning Springfield crash

A 17-YEAR-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of drink and dangerous driving following a single-vehicle crash near Springfield early on Friday morning.


A red Peugeot 207 was driving past Roberts Garage on Springfield Road when it collided with a wall causing 'substantial damage' to the car at about 2.30am. The driver was uninjured.

The police are now appealing for anyone who saw the collision take place or may have dash-cam footage to come forward.

The vehicle is believed to have headed along the Inner Road before coming through Cheapside on its way to Springfield.
