The single-vehicle crash happened at the junction of Grande Route de St Jean and Chemin de Herupe in the early hours of Sunday.
In a statement, the States police said: ‘A wall was damaged and debris from the car was located around the scene. There would have been debris spread across the road that would have blocked or at least partially blocked the road and the car would have been damaged considerably when it left the scene.’
The car was later found and a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and report an accident, dangerous driving and driving while over the prescribed limit and has since been released on police bail.
He did not suffer any injuries as a result of the crash.
