Roads to remain closed after St Helier pizzeria fire
ROADS around the site of a major fire at a St Helier pizzeria were due to remain closed until at least 5pm on Tuesday, the honorary police announced.
Parts of Broad Street and York Street around Charing Cross – outside the Pizzeria Romana restaurant – have been closed to traffic since the fire broke out on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters are working to establish the cause of the blaze. No-one was injured.
In a tweet, St Helier honorary police said: 'Update 10:30am: Roads are remaining closed until approx. 5pm as @JsyFire continue to work on site. Any further updates will be posted as soon as we receive them. Thank you.'
