Deacon Blue to play Jersey’s Weekender festival

As previously reported, Grammy Award-winning band Clean Bandit and Lewis Capaldi, whose recent hit, Someone You Loved, hit Number 1 in the UK singles chart, will also be playing the main stage.

In a Facebook post, the event organisers said: ‘It’s time for us to reveal some more huge names that will be joining us up at the Royal Jersey Showground for the big one!

‘Weekender returns on 31st August and 1st September – and we are putting together one of the most eclectic star-studded line-ups ever seen in Jersey!

‘Today we are absolutely delighted to announce that this year at Weekender we will be welcoming the iconic Scottish pop-rock outfit Deacon Blue to Jersey for the first time ever!

‘With 12 UK top 40 singles, along with two UK number one albums, and over 6 million records sold – Deacon Blue stand the test of time as one of the most successful bands to come out of the UK in the late 80s!’
