The 65-year-old was cycling along Grande Route des Augerez in St Peter, and had signalled to turn into Les Routeurs, when he was hit from behind by a silver/grey pick-up truck and knocked to the ground.
The vehicle failed to stop and carried on down Les Routeurs. Another driver called an ambulance for the cyclist.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 7.20am on 13 February, is being asked to phone the States police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
