Jersey forecourt to sell fuel for below £1 a litre

The move comes almost a year after the company opened its first outlet at Augrès and the business says it hopes to open more sites.

Chief operating officer Jonathan Best said that he was pleased to be opening the new site – which will be shared with Oakhurst Garage – ahead of schedule.

‘Since launching our Augrès forecourt in March 2018, the feedback and response from Jersey consumers was positive. We are aware that the demand is out there,’ he said.

‘Plus, we are pleased to announce a price of 98.9 pence per litre for unleaded petrol at both our forecourts in Augrès and Maufant from tomorrow.’

According to jerseyfuelwatch.com, a site run by the Jersey Consumer Council, ATF currently has the cheapest fuel in Jersey at 103.9 pence per litre.

It will be the first time in months that fuel has dropped below £1 per litre. The company is able to make savings by importing its fuel on trailers rather than having to use tankers.
