High winds cause weekend ferry cancellations

HIGH winds have forced Condor to cancel sailings between St Malo and Jersey on Saturday and Sunday.

The predicted 30 mile per hour winds are outside safe berthing limits meaning the 9.05 am departure from Jersey to St Malo, the 6.15 pm from St Malo and 7.30 pm return on Saturday and the round trip on Sunday, scheduled to leave at 6.30 pm from the French port and return from St Helier at 7.35 pm have all been cancelled.

Condor is in the process of contacting passengers to offer alternative sailings with those affected being offered free transfers or a full refund.

There is also due to be ferry disruption on Monday when Customs officials strike.
