Free shuttle bus during roadworks

For five weeks from 14 January, work commissioned by the Infrastructure Department will be carried out to re-lay a large section of Route des Quennevais – stretching from the junction of Route des Genêts to Rue Carrée.

Traffic will be diverted onto other roads and, as a result, the number 15, 22 and X22 buses will be prevented from following their normal routes.

According to LibertyBus, from 14 January to Friday 18 January between 9 am and 5.30 pm, the 15 service – which normally runs from St Helier to the Airport via Red Houses – will instead travel to Corbière.

Services heading into town will leave at the Red Houses times but from a temporary signposted stop, at Clos des Sables.

Rather than travelling up Beaumont Hill, the 22 will instead be routed along St Aubin and Route des Genêts before following its normal route to L’Etacq.

Inbound buses will follow the same route.

LibertyBus is also putting a special half-hourly X15 service which will leave the bus station at 8.50 am and which will run via Beaumont Hill and Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II. The first return service departs at 9.20 am and follows the same route.

A shuttle bus, which will connect the Airport with Red Houses, will also be in place. It will travel via a temporary stop at Clos des Sables before heading down Petite Route des Mielles and Rue de Faunois.

It is scheduled to run every 15 minutes according to the route 15 timetable.
