The iQ Apple store will be relocating from its current Beresford Street premises and moving into the former M&S Home store.

The 7,000 sq-ft site is expected to create new jobs as part of the expansion.

SandpiperCI chief executive Tony O’Neill said: ‘We’re delighted Apple has approved iQ’s move to Liberty Wharf. The decision demonstrates a massive vote of confidence in the Liberty Wharf shopping complex, which is also the subject of a current planning application to upgrade and rebrand the centre. After an extensive fit out, we anticipate opening the new store early in 2019.’

The M&S Home store closed in the summer and merged with the King Street store.
