Weather warning issued for Jersey – but temperatures due to hit 22°C on Saturday

The orange warning – the second highest level of alert – warns of force-eight south to south-easterly winds on Friday.

The strong winds, caused by Storm Callum, has also caused the cancellation of all high-speed ferry crossings to and from Jersey on Friday and Saturday.

The Commodore Clipper conventional ferry has been rescheduled to help accommodate passengers.

As well as bringing strong winds, Storm Callum will also drag up unseasonably warm air from the continent.

Temperatures are expected to hit 22°C on Saturday – about 6°C above average for the time of the year.

Cooler weather is expected to arrive on Sunday.
