Could you escape the pharaoh’s tomb?

The Curse of Valspar escape rooms have an Egyptian theme and are aimed at being a ‘fully immersive’ experience in which participants have to solve a series of mental and physical challenges in order to get out.

Tamba owner Jonathan Ruff said: ‘It’s not meant to be scary, but it feels quite authentic – you actually feel like you’re in a tomb.’

Mr Ruff said that the escape rooms, which have been built within Café Quest near Tamba Arcade, fit in well with the location and added: ‘It really is something else.’

While the escape rooms, which are due to open on Friday, are designed to be a fun activity for families and friends, they are also available for team-building days for businesses.

The entire experience is intended to take around 40 minutes, with groups spending roughly 20 minutes in each of the two rooms.

The organisers behind the attraction recommend that children taking part in the experience be at least 12 years old and that groups make bookings involving four to eight participants.
