Officers attended an address in St Peter on Monday and found that paramedics were at the scene treating a 52-year-old man. The woman was detained a short time later.
The alleged victim was taken to the Emergency Department of the General Hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
In a statement, the States police said: ‘Both parties are known to each other and the police consider this to be an isolated incident and are not looking for anyone else at present.
‘Police would like to reassure the public that incidents involving knives are thankfully very rare in Jersey. An investigation is currently being undertaken by detectives from the Serious Crime Unit.’
