The figures showed that Eurowings, which flies to the Island from Düsseldorf and Berlin-Tegel airports, experienced mean average delays of 19.2 minutes per flight.

EasyJet, which flies to and from Jersey from eight UK destinations, was ranked ninth worst on the list with delays of 18.2 minutes.

And in 13th place was Loganair – which flies between Jersey and Norwich – with average delays of 16.2 minutes.

Blue Islands and Flybe, which run various services to and from Jersey, also appeared on the list with flights delayed an average of 15.6 and 14.1 minutes respectively.

Stobart Air, which operates flights to Dublin from Jersey on behalf of Aer Lingus, was listed as the seventh most punctual airline with average delays of just 11.3 minutes and British Airways was ninth most punctual with delayed flights running on average 11.5 minutes late.

Hungarian company WizzAir, which does not fly to Jersey, topped the list of delays with an average of 22.9 minutes per flight.
