Hospice Lottery tickets may sell out by mid-July

Organisers say that more than half the tickets have been sold since they went on sale six weeks ago and estimate that they could have sold out by the middle of next month.

Tickets for the charity’s annual fundraiser cost £300 and the Hospice says that money raised will be put towards the services it offers to children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.

The top prize is £1 million while prizes of £100,000, £75,000, £50,000, £25,000 and five prizes of £10,000 are also on offer.

Sacha Patel, income generation manager at Jersey Hospice Care, said: ‘Last year, the tickets sold out in a matter of weeks. Lots of people who had hoped to be in with a chance of winning the top prize were disappointed when they discovered the tickets were sold out.

‘If tickets continue to sell at the current rate, we anticipate that they will be sold out by the middle of July. So if you are thinking about how you would spend the one million pounds prize money, be sure to buy your ticket soon.’

Syndicate forms can be downloaded from jerseyhospicecare.com.

Tickets can be bought from de Gruchy, Monday to Saturday between 10 am and 4 pm, and from Jersey Hospice Care’s reception, Monday to Friday between 8 am and 8 pm.
