Police appeal for CCTV footage to assist with murder inquiry

Officers have already secured some CCTV images but are looking for more to help them trace the final movements of the 37-year-old and her car – a blue Ford Fiesta Ghia with the registration number J48188. They are looking for footage recorded between 5 pm on 10 May and 8 am on 11 May.

In a statement, the force added: ‘We are also appealing for any CCTV footage from the Pomme d’Or Farm Estate area that was recorded between 8 pm and 9.30 pm on 13 May. Anyone that has any CCTV footage from the areas, dates and times mentioned above is asked to contact DC Wintour on 612398 or email m.wintour@jersey.pnn.police.uk.

‘We have already secured some CCTV that we have been able to identify and this request forms part of our work on trying to trace the movements of Zsuzsanna and her car during these times.’

Ms Besenyei, a former receptionist at The Revere Hotel, was last seen on 10 May. She was found dead at Le Pulec bay in St Ouen six days later. Her car was found close to La Haule slip in St Brelade on 14 May.

On Monday, 54-year-old Jamie Lee Warn appeared in court charged with her murder and perverting the course of justice. He is accused of murdering Ms Besenyei some time between 9 and 17 May and with perverting the course of justice between 14 and 24 May. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear again on 25 June.
