Firms sign up for the JEP Coastal Clean-up

Santander International, JE, the Channel Islands Co-operative Society, Close Finance and Jersey Gas are the first to commit to tidying beaches at Havre de Pas, Bel Royal, Ouaisné, St Brelade and Green Island.

The JEP is working with charity Little Feet Environmental, the Environment Department and Plastic Free Jersey on the initiative.

Julie Settle, from JEP sister company and event organisers EC Events Ltd, said: ‘The JEP is delighted to announce that the event is being well supported by
a number of local companies that feel strongly about our Jersey environment and in particular our coastline.

‘The JEP strongly believes in community activities and living on an Island surrounded by beaches, this campaign is something that we all empathise with.’

She added that all volunteers on the day will be provided with information about how to collect rubbish safely while learning about the Island’s beaches and nature.
