States final 2017 accounts ‘not ready for general election’

During a sitting of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel, States treasurer Richard Bell said that audited financial statements for 2017 would not be published before June, although draft figures might be ready in time for election day on 16 May.

Treasury Minister Alan Maclean said that new States chief executive Charlie Parker’s transformation team was looking at bringing forward the deadlines for the production of States accounts.
