Despite being relatively few in number, the 12 participants still managed to raise a total of £347 for Jersey Hospice, and organiser Su Holden said that it would definitely take place again in 2019.
She said: ‘It went really well. All the people that said they were going to turn up did turn up – there was a really good atmosphere.
‘It was quite rough, so we did not go too far. We just had a bit of a splash around and did a few lengths – we were probably in for about ten minutes.
‘I am really happy with the amount we raised.
‘Even if it had only been £15 I still would have been happy. We will definitely do it again next year.’
