Drone used in search for Polar Bear the missing dog

Nigel Radcliffe, Polar Bear’s owner, said he and his family have been searching the cliff paths around Plémont and have even used a drone to try to track down their beloved pet.

Polar Bear had been in a large enclosed field next to the Plémont coastal path with her mother, Barlou (10), on Thursday. The family started a search when they realised she must have escaped.

The States police have now asked Islanders to keep a lookout for the dog.

In a short statement on their Facebook page, the force said: ‘Please keep an eye out for Polar Bear the labradoodle if you are in the Plémont area and around the northwest coast of the Island. Polar Bear went missing from that area on Thursday.

‘It is getting colder by the day and she needs to get home to her family, who are currently out searching for her.’

Mr Radcliffe said: ‘On Sunday Barlou just went to the headland and just sat there, which was very odd.

‘My daughter, Nigella, is quite upset,
as she was there at the birthing of the pups.’

Polar Bear was named after the Arctic animal because she was born with bright white fur.

If anyone sees the labradoodle, they are asked to call the owners on either 07797 824516, 481159 or 07797 739733.
