Weather warnings issued

Water and debris was sent over the sea wall along St Aubin’s Bay during the morning high tide.

Jersey Met issued orange tide and wind warnings – the second-highest level of alert.

Although the weather is expected to be mixed this week, conditions are likely to improve for Thursday’s International Air Display.

John Searson, Jersey Met’s principal meteorologist, said: ‘The weather is expected to remain changeable this week with showers or longer spells of rain at times.

‘It will be breezy during the Air Display on Thursday and we are forecasting isolated showers, but these are more likely in the morning. I don’t expect the weather will cause any problems for flying, but spectators might want to take a coat with them.’

Temperatures this week are expected to climb no higher than 16c or 17c.
