On course to raise cash

MORE than 170 people pulled on their running shoes and took part in the Jersey Stroke Association's Resolution Run yesterday.

It is the second time the charity has organised the race, which allowed runners of all ages to either run 5 km or 10 km around Les Landes Race Course.

Nationally the event had double the number of runners taking part this year, with more than 11,000 signing up, compared to 5,000 last year.

Tracy O'Regan, fundraising manager for the charity in Jersey, said it was a 'brilliant' event and the weather held out.
