Honorary force seeking volunteers

Following the stepping down of Vingteniers Garnet Renouf and Dave Pittom the force is looking to keep its numbers up.

The parish’s Chef de Police, Mike Haden, said: ‘We have had a few people retire for age and health reasons, so we are struggling with numbers.

‘We’ve got 14 officers at the moment but ideally we would have 20. We have enough Centeniers and Vignteniers but we need some more Constable’s Officers.’

The Centenier added that general duties would include dealing with speeding and parking offences, noise disturbances and road closures during bad weather.

Anyone who would like more information should call Mr Haden on 07797 787149 or drop in to the parish hall office during working hours.
