In one of his last official engagements as Lieutenant-Governor before he retires, General Sir John McColl visited the school yesterday with his wife Lady McColl, a former primary school teacher, who opened the new facilities.

The wing cost £2 million to complete and has replaced several Portacabins with modern classrooms. It also includes two new dedicated physiotherapy rooms which will allow the school to better cater for students with physical, medical and speech and language needs.
