TV puts spotlight on Jersey oysters

Next Friday part of Food Unwrapped – a programme that investigates different items of produce – will look at Pacific oysters grown in Jersey and France, as well as at the Island’s native oyster.

Presenter Kate Quilton, who co-hosts the show with Jimmy Doherty and Matt Tebbutt, visited the Island recently to talk to local oyster experts.

She spoke to aquaculture specialist and oyster farmer Tony Legg, as well as to Seymour Oysters.

Food Unwrapped’s oyster investigation will be shown as part of episode six, which is due to be shown at 8.30 pm on Channel 4 on Friday 4 November.
