He was found by a security guard at the unoccupied Kleinwort Benson House in West’s Centre in the early of hours of 5 June after drinking more than a litre of Jack Daniels.
The defendant, who has 16 previous convictions for 51 offences, was jailed for 12 months by the Royal Court yesterday for one count of breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime.
Advocate Fritha Ford, defending, said that her client’s actions were not pre-meditated and he was ‘extremely disappointed’ in himself.
