The court’s warning follows a lengthy legal case that was brought after a landslip damaged several huts at the pier in 2012.
Hut owner Mary Casteen Venturini brought proceedings against Ghyll Ltd, which owns a parcel of land including the steep bank behind her beachside property.
The 2012 landslide shunted a neighbouring unit – known as the Blue Hut – out into the road.
Ms Venturini said the incident damaged her chalet, called Boat House.
