Jersey’s longest-serving Centenier, Grouville Chef de Police Charles Dix, has questioned the safety of his officers as they attend more dangerous cases.
All honorary officers are advised to wear stab vests by the Honorary Police Association when attending incidents which could result in injury, but not all parishes have access to them.
The Honorary Police Association are looking into body cameras, stab vests and radio control for all honorary officers.
