Ark Trust (Jersey) Ltd, a subsidiary of Chinese firm Noah Wealth Management, was last month issued with its ground-breaking licence by the Island’s regulator, the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
The milestone deal was marked at a ceremony in Hong Kong attended by representatives of both companies and 120 guests.
The licence enables Noah to offer Jersey trust structuring to its client base of over 100,000, with JTC providing ongoing administration services. Noah has been operating since 2005 and in 2010 became the first mainland Chinese wealth manager to list on the New York Stock Exchange.
