In recent weeks word has spread online that the Chelsea Football Club owner has bought Maison de la Valette, a mansion in the heart of Trinity which is on the market for £25 million.
But Clifford Wilson, of Jersey-based Wilsons estate agents, says that the rumours, which started on Facebook, are wide of the mark.
Mr Wilson added that there had been interest in the property, which went on the market earlier this summer, but it had not yet been sold.
