Abuse probe ‘putting off childcare staff’

The Independent Jersey Care Inquiry was launched in 2014 to hear evidence of child abuse in Jersey care homes dating back to the end of the Second World War.

Health Minister Andrew Green said that while the inquiry is ‘completely necessary’, some of the revelations were affecting the ability of Children’s Services to recruit.

The inquiry is due to release its report later this year.
