Brett Kean has been charged with one count of rape and two counts of indecent assault following the alleged attack in the Sandranne Hotel in Rouge Bouillon on Saturday.
During a hearing in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris said that due to the serious nature of the allegations it was likely that the case would be sent to the Royal Court and he adjourned proceedings for two weeks and said that the likely date for the committal hearing would be 29 August.
Mr Kean, who was dressed in a black T-shirt, only spoke to confirm his name. No application was made for bail and the defendant was remanded in custody.
