Most social housing meets UK standard

And Andium Homes says that all of the Island’s social housing stock will meet the standard by 2020 – four years earlier than originally targeted.

In its annual report for 2015 – the first full year of its operation – the organisation has set out a revised plan for how it will ensure that 100 per cent of its properties achieve the Decent Homes Standard within the revised time frame.

That standard specifies that all social housing should be in a reasonable state of repair and be adequately insulated and have modern kitchens, bathrooms and boilers.
