The Senator brought her two-year political career to a premature end as she admitted she does not ‘possess the qualities or stamina required to make an impact’.
But in a parting shot, she hit out at the Council of Ministers for refusing to listen to the concerns of the public.
Her shock departure from the States means that a by-election will be held to find her replacement – although no date for the Island-wide vote has yet been confirmed.
