Tickets for Governor’s Walk are offered by St Helier

The walk, followed by a light supper and raffle, will raise money for Variety Jersey.

To ensure safety and to provide manageable numbers, participants will be divided into groups of 20 to 30, each with their own Blue Badge Guide.

They will depart from the Town Church at ten-minute intervals in the afternoon. This year the route goes to Elizabeth Castle, on the same day that the St Helier Pilgrimage takes place.

Local historian Frank Falle, who is a member of Variety, said that at the end of their terms of office, each Lieutenant-Governor is presented with a Jersey milk can, inscribed with the crests and date of each of the walks which have taken place in all 12 parishes.
