From next Monday, the northern footpath from the bridge half-way across the reservoir to the car park below St Saviour’s Hospital will be fenced off.

This is to enable pest controllers to trap and destroy the colony, which has swelled to an estimated 40 rats.

However, public access will be maintained from the car park and the hospital grounds to the footpath leading to and around the lower half of the reservoir.
