Ryan’s first haircut – at the age of six

Earlier this week six-year-old Ryan Le Bas had his first ever haircut – and raised more than £1,700 for Jersey’s Special Care Baby Unit in the process.

The Grouville School pupil had his hair cut at Sorella salon in St Brelade after it became too difficult to deal with when he was playing sport – but his famous locks will live on, as they have been donated to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children with cancer.

Ryan’s mother, Tracey, who teaches at Grouville School, said that her son was very happy about his new cut and that the family were overwhelmed by the donations Islanders had made.
