A night to celebrate excellence in building

Members of the industry gathered at the Hotel de France this week when Economic Development Minister Lyndon Farnham revealed details of this year’s competition, which promotes and celebrates the achievements of the construction sector.

The JeCC’s 2016 award categories are for the Project of the Year over £3 million, the Business of the Year, the Sustainability Award, the Project of the Year between £1 million and £3 million, Best Training and Development, the Star of the Future Award, Industry Achiever, Best use of Innovation, Project up to £1 million, a Health and Safety Award and the JeCC Lifetime Achiever Award.

Martin Holmes, chairman of the Construction Council, said that the construction industry was a pillar of the Island’s economy and that training and development in the sector would be a key part of tackling projects such as providing more affordable homes.
