According to the plans, the Healthfield Children’s Centre is no longer needed and is in a poor condition.
The home, which opened in 1987 and replaced Haut de la Garenne, was discussed during a number of hearings of the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry last year.
The Bagatelle Lane building closed in 2011 and Jersey Property Holdings, which looks after the unit as part of the States portfolio of assets, said there was no adequate or cost effective way that it could be repaired or upgraded to meet modern standards.
