The man fell to the floor, and staff at Fusion, in St Peter Port, went to his aid shortly before he started to have a fit and stopped breathing.
An ambulance crew arrived at the scene to take over the resuscitation efforts and the man was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday, but was discharged later on the same day.
The club’s managing director, Alex Lock, praised the quick actions of his staff following the incident and explained that the man fell to the floor after an accidental clash of heads with his friend as they stood at the bar at around 1.30 am.
