Stormy conditions last week saw the Island battered by 75 mph winds and heavy rain, with 26 mm of rainfall recorded on Tuesday alone – a third of the average for the whole month.

However, the rain-clouds gave way to sunshine, and the temperature reached around 10.5°C at the weekend.

And Phil Johnson, a senior forecaster at the Jersey Met Office, said that Islanders could expect the dry weather to continue for the next few days.
