Winds of up to 75 mph lashed the island on Wednesday, ripping up trees, blowing down fencing and damaging homes.
And the roof on a stable block at Alderney Horse Home was torn off, leaving the structure dangerously unsafe.
Diane Allen, who set up the Horse Home 14 years ago, said that none of the 14 horses in the stables were harmed but the stable would need to be replaced.
